If you have a hi-fi/stereo system with an auxiliary 'AUX' input you will achieve better sound by connecting the headphone output of your computer, tablet or mobile phone to the auxiliary input of your stereo. You will most likely need a connecting cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug at one end and two RCA phono plugs at the other.
